This policy is set up to help everyone, even though it may be difficult to prove to the students in the beginning. This policy will be presented to the students as they gather in the gym. It will begin soon after. The first step is to have a box at the front door that the students can place their phones in while they are in school, the phone will be there all day until it is time for the student to leave. If some students decide to keep their phones with them, they will need to keep them in their bookbag, turned off. The first time they are on their phones during class, they will be warned and told to put it away. The next time they have it out, the phone will be taken away and given to the office, where only the parents can pick it up along with paying sixty dollars. After having their phone taken once already and they get it out once more, it will be taken and cost one hundred dollars to get back and a meeting with the principal.

While this may seem difficult and extreme, it will be effective in schools. Once the policy is introduced and the students become used to it, they will figure out that it is nice to not be on their phones all of the time. This will improve their listening skills and their grades. In the beginning it may seem that the teachers are taking on more work by having to take phones but, it will actually be easier than telling the students to put their phones up constantly. Overall, this policy will help students learn more, allow the teachers to teach their whole lesson, and take students away from their phones.
